Chinese chip designer Moore Threads Technology is making waves in the tech industry with the introduction of its new AI chips, Huashan and Lushan. These chips are designed to challenge the dominance of US giants Nvidia and AMD, with the Huashan chip reportedly outperforming Nvidia’s Hopper series and nearing the capabilities of the newer Blackwell line. At a recent developer conference in Beijing, Moore Threads showcased its ambition to be a serious contender in the AI chip market.
